I just wanted to say I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Here are some photos of my Candy Cane Kitties having some fun.

Yes, yes, it is finally here, folks. Christmas Eve.

You may be wondering about the comment regarding the chaos in the house which I didn't expound on. What caused the chaos in the calm of kittendom?

Mama gave the kittens a candy cane, that's what did it. Peppermint to kittens is like catnip to an adult cat. Wow! You should see these kittens go. I know you know what it is like. Just give a young child a cup of coffee, three candy bars and a soda, and watch what he does. Multiply that by 5 and you have peppermint kitten chaos!

Twas' the night before the night before Christmas and all was chaos throughout the house....

Red Bull the dirty nose Ragdoll
(This is actually Jumper, but Red Bull gets the same nose from drinking out of the spout of the water fountain and then playing in the litter box)

This is Red Bull! (He is currently available for adoption)

My Brother's Box
A Christmas Story

This is the story of 3 fiery Ragdoll kittens and their anticipation over Christmas approaching. While most people are scooting about worrying over what to buy for their friends, family and co-workers, these young happy boys are living each moment as if the world depends on what happens next. They have no worry that it is too cold outside, nor whether there will be food to replenish their bowls. They have no idea what money is, nor are they aware they themselves have monetary value. They are just small, innocent creatures, content in their warm, amazingly fun world, delighted at every new adventure.

They knew something great was about to happen, but they didn't know what it was. They know, because their mama keeps telling them so, filling their minds with anticipation.

Mama wants her boys to be prepared for the world and all the new and wonderous things it has in store for them. From their birth, she has been concentrating on keeping them amazed with the delights she brings to them. A fuzzy blanket, a cuddly toy, a bouncing ball, a feather toy, a hemp covered tree, a soft perch, a bowl where water shoots out of and allows them to drink from, like it's a trickling waterfall. Wow! They think their mama is pretty cool.

Little did their mama know that building them up for what comes next could actually be as harmful as discouraging them from trying new things. How so, you may ask?

Little Raggies are fiercely courageous, showing no restraint when something new arrives in their world. This is a slideshow of the day mama gave Red Bull a box to play in because she had already given Jumper and Dreamer a toy, and he was feeling rather blue and forgotten about.

See, Jumper and Dreamer have a new mama who is counting the days until she gets to hold them. sigh. But Red Bull, with the dirty nose, has no one but his mama. So he was feeling sad, but then, mama gave him a box. And suddenly, his brothers felt the box should be shared. Even though, they weren't willing to share their toys with him.

"It's mine!" Red Bull insisted, and refused to give up his box.

"Give it to me!, argued, Jumper. But Red Bull buried himself in for the long run, and held his place in the box.

Dreamer looked on with curiosity, but said, "Give it to Jumper, Red Bull, you laid in it long enough."

Red Bull just ignored them both.

"I'll bite your ear off if you don't get out!," threatened Jumper.

Red Bull just smiled.

Jumper tried to jump in the box, and Red Bull had to get partially out, but managed to keep two feet in the box, and was able to squeezzzze Jumper back out. And he smiled and readjusted himself with his feet up, like an executive with his feet on his desk.

"Ahhh," said Red Bull, "that's much better, anyway. Thanks, Jumper."

Jumper ran to mama and cried, "Red Bull won't get out of our box. Make him get out, mama, please?"

Mama told him, "I gave it to Red Bull, you will just have to wait until he is through."

Jumper had had enough and he jumped on Red Bull in the box. But there was no room in the box. Jumper was just laying on top of Red Bull. He wasn't actually in the box. And it was just not as much fun. He could jump Red Bull anytime. He wanted to be in the box.

"Get out of the box!!" whinned Jumper.

Red Bull, sighed... and closed his eyes, and thought to himself, "At last! I am the king again!"

Look at how Cleo is protecting Raisin from falling off the chair. This was taken on the first day out of the nursery, and is just so sweet it brings tears to my eyes.
